i can't wait for his new movies to come out, but i am also wondering why he is doing all of these movies. I have also read where he wanted to do movies for the next few years, then retire to be with his family. I hope he doesn't retire so soon, he is such a talented actor. I hope he still has the drive to want to make movies as long as he can. i love everyone of his movies. |

Mark Wahlberg Is Not Jack Bauer!
By Stuart Wood: 2006-02-23
Mark Wahlberg will star and Antoine Fuqua will direct the political thriller The Shooter for Paramount, according to Variety.
Based on the 1993 novel Point of Impact by Stephen Hunter, The Shooter is the tale of an ex-government sharp-shooter who lives in self-imposed exile after causing the death of an innocent person. He is persuaded out of retirement when he is told his help is needed to prevent a presidential assasination, only to be double-crossed and find himself framed for the President's murder. Cue much avoiding of the law while seeking out the truth.
The script was written by Jonathan Lemkin, who also wrote the questionable movies that were Red Planet and Lethal Weapon 4. _________________ Mark is BLESSED!!! |

Fuqua and Wahlberg Prep Shooter
Source: Hollywood North Report April 4, 2006
Hollywood North Report says that director Antoine Fuqua and star Mark Wahlberg will begin filming the political thriller Shooter in Vancouver on June 12 through August 30 at Lionsgate Studios.
Based on Stephen Hunter's novel "Point of Impact," the Paramount feature centers on an ace marksman -- living in self-exile in the Arkansas wilderness after causing the death of an innocent person -- who is persuaded by his former associates that they need his help to prevent an assassination. Subsequently double-crossed and framed for the presidential assassination he was trying to prevent, he is forced to go on the run while trying to track down the real killer and discover the truth about who betrayed him.
Jonathan Lemkin wrote the screenplay. The film is produced by Lorenzo di Bonaventura, who previously produced the Wahlberg-starrer Four Brothers. |
